I’ve loved music – all kinds of music – all of my life, and I’ve been taking stuff apart and putting it back together since the age of ten. Since then I’ve learned a thing or two about music and technology.
In addition to my personal projects, I studied Manufacturing and Automotive Engineering Technologies, and then went on to work in the electronics manufacturing and repair industry for over 20 years, in fields as diverse as high-end audio and military and commercial avionics. I also played guitar and bass in various bands, and even contributed to an early online collaborative tribute CD called ‘Giant Tracks’.
I started ToneRite Amps as a way to share my love of music-oriented electronics with others and to provide a variety of services you often don’t find in one setting, like amp and pedal repairs, modifications, restorations, custom one-off builds, and more.
In addition, I modifiy and repair electric guitars (fretwork, custom pickups and electronics, etc.), and I work on vintage (1950’s to 1970’s, mostly) tube and solid-state home audio gear as well.
No project is too big, too small, or too outlandish! Contact me to discuss your ideas!
